Valdemorillo has never exactly been famous for having an abundance of water, but despite this, there are many long-standing public fountains spread across the town, although the water flow reduces considerably during the dry season.
Just on the edge of town is one of the oldest and most important fountains. The Caño de San Juan (Saint John's Fountain) dates back to at least 1869, but it is believed to be even older.
The Caño de San Juan is located on a pretty patch of grassland between the streets of Calle de San Juan and Calle del Caño San Juan.
This is a great place to rest while exploring the various footpaths around the town and the surrounding area.
Very close to this fountain is a recently restored watering hole, one of the many found on the various footpaths around Valdemorillo.
Until the 1970s, there used to be a picnic stand on this site where people would come to relax and enjoy the cool breeze.
